Hello and welcome to planDisney, Kelly!
One of my favorite topics of conversation is
dining around the Walt Disney World Resort and I’m so happy to serve as your Fairy Godmother-in-training!
Kelly, to book any advanced dining reservation (including character dining experiences) you’ll first need to log into your
My Disney Experience (whether through your browser or the My Disney Experience Mobile App). Through the app, you’ll click on the + sign and then “check dining availability” where you’ll add in your party size, select a date and then see available restaurants.
Currently the following restaurants are offering a modified character experience:
-
Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT
-
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
-
Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
-
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
-
Topolino’s Terrace- Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort
Kelly, an alternate way of searching for availability is to type in the name of the restaurant into the search bar and then click on “Reserve Dining” to see availability for that specific restaurant.
Now, Kelly,
you can begin making reservations 60 days in advance of your visit and as a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest you can make reservations for the length of your trip (up to 10 days) all at once! Reservations open up quite early in the morning (typically at approximately 5:45 AM), so make sure to set your alarm, program that coffee pot and begin your reservation search with whichever character dining location you've chosen. Kelly, dining reservations do NOT need to be made in order, so I encourage you to reserve character dining first before moving on to other reservations.
Kelly, I hope this helps as you're planning ahead. If you have any trouble booking your reservations, make sure that your vacation package or resort stay is linked to your account.
Best wishes for a Magical vacation full of your favorite Disney characters!
Lauren
