Hi Susan!
Chef Mickey’s is such a great dining experience at the Walt Disney World Resort! It’s the first Character Dining meal that we took our kids to when they were little! And we keep going back! You are going to love seeing the characters! Of course, watching the Monorail glide through Disney’s Contemporary Resort is another fun part of this dining experience!
I find the easiest way to make a reservation for Chef Mickey’s (or any Disney Dining experience) is to use the
My Disney Experience app! When you open the app on your phone, tap the magnifying glass, and then enter “Chef Mickey’s” in the search bar. When the page for the restaurant appears, tap the icon for “Reserve Dining.” You will then be prompted to enter your “party size” and “date.” You will then proceed with finalizing the details of your reservation!
Susan, I see that you’re planning an October visit! You can begin making your Disney Dining reservations 60 days before your vacation check-in date. Chef Mickey’s is very popular, so I recommend making your reservations on that magical “60-day mark.” You can begin making reservations around 6:00 AM (sometimes a few minutes earlier).
You’re visiting in the fall! That is my favorite time of year to visit! The days are still nice and warm, and the nights begin to cool down just a little. Of course, it is also the time for
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! This seasonal event is held at Magic Kingdom Park on select nights. It brings the “spirit” of the season alive with special Halloween-themed fireworks, parades, character greetings, and so much more! It’s a frightfully fun event to enjoy during your magical vacation!
Dreams do come true!
