Hi Carolyn and welcome to planDisney!
How wonderful that you're planning to visit
Walt Disney World as part of a large group, in a few weeks time. My family have travelled as part of a larger, multi-generational group, a few times over the years and honestly, it's so wonderful to see a whole mix of generations coming together to experience the magic that Walt Disney World has to offer and making countless memories, which will be treasured forever, in the process!
I pride myself on being a chief planner when it comes to visiting "The Most Magical Place On Earth" but, my oh my, you sure have a task on your hands with a travel party of 17 guests to organise.
It is possible to make dining reservations for a total of 17 guests on the Walt Disney World website (subject to availability). You can do this by visiting the
Check Dining Availability page, selecting 17 on the Party Size section followed by the date and time. Once you have entered this information you can also filter for
Character Dining locations.
Due to the number of guests in your travel party and the fact that dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance, you might find it difficult, at this stage, to find availability.
You do however have a couple of options available to you:-
1/ Check for availability on the Walt Disney World website.
2/ Check for availability via the "Chat With Us" option on the
My Disney Experience App.
Top Tip - You can find the "Chat With Us" option on the My Disney Experience App by clicking on the "≡" (hamburger) symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the home screen and scrolling down to the Help & Feedback section.
3/ Have you and another member of your travel party make 2 individual dining reservations, for smaller party sizes, at the same restaurant, at similar times. Sometimes splitting into smaller parties helps to find availability. So, for example, if you were able to secure 1 reservation for 10 guests and another for 7 guests, I would recommend arriving at the restaurant a little early and explaining that you're part of a larger group, with separate reservations, but, would love to be seated together. Although this cannot be guaranteed, in my experience, Cast Members will do their absolute best to accommodate any requests.
I've just had a quick search and was able to find dining reservations available for breakfast at several Character Dining locations, for up to 12 guests, around your arrival date.
I hope that this information has been of help, Carolyn and will keep my fingers crossed that your party of 17 are able to experience a wonderful character breakfast, together, during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
