Hi ya, Joe!
Welcome to planDisney! I love your question because it combines two of my favorite things: food and characters! What can be better than a great meal with friends, right?
Character dining at the Disneyland Resort can be reserved online up to 60 days in advance. You'll need to create a Disney account and provide a credit card when you make your reservation. Just go to the
dining availability webpage, select the number of guests in your party, and enter the date and time of day that you need a reservation. If you're interested in a character breakfast then you'll want to select the "Before 12:00 PM" option for time slots. Once you click a time then your search will magically appear! To see character dining specifically, you'll want to click the "All Filters" button at the top of the list and choose "Character Dining" under the "Table Service" options. Click the button again to close the filters menu, and you'll see all the character breakfast options available.
Checking your arrival date, I think your best option will be
Storytellers Cafe at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. Don't worry, you don't need to be a hotel guest to dine there! Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet includes breakfast favorites like Mickey Waffles, an omelet station, fresh fruit and pastries, and so much more! Of course, Mickey himself will be there to say hello, along with some of his pals. Make that reservation soon, because character dining is popular and spots do fill up!
Because character dining at the Disneyland Resort Hotels doesn't require you to enter the theme parks I often recommend that groups do this as a last "See ya real soon!" on the day they head home. It's such a wonderful way to end your vacation time!
Joe, I hope you're able to find a reservation that works for you and enjoy breakfast with Mickey. Now I'm getting hungry, so I'm going to go find a snack for myself! Have a delicious visit to the Disneyland Resort!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
