Ahoy there, June!
Welcome aboard, and thank you for bringing your question to us! Choosing a stateroom on a Disney Cruise Line ship is a key aspect of your vacation planning, and there are plenty of wonderful options to choose from.
Generally, there are
four different stateroom categories on the ships. If you'd like to have a balcony, which sailors call a verandah, then you'll want to choose a stateroom labeled with the "Oceanview with Verandah" category. Within that category you will find a few
different types of verandah rooms, all with a balcony for you to enjoy the sea breeze right from your stateroom. I'm more relaxed just thinking about it!
My family really enjoys having a verandah! My kids often ask to enjoy breakfast or snacks from
room service while they sit on the balcony together. Our first activity when we wake up each morning is always checking out the view! We've been lucky to spot ocean life and enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets, all from our own little private space. It really is lovely!
Staterooms do vary a bit between ships, so the best way to get more details about a particular room type is to visit the
webpage for the ship you'll be sailing on and then scroll down to the "Staterooms" section of the ship's information page. Then you can see all the wonderful Disney details in each room category!
Hope this information gets you sailing in the right direction, June! Please visit again if we can offer more help!
Keep moving forward!
