Welcome back to planDisney, Ingrid!
I love traditions, and the fact that your crew makes an annual visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is heartwarming. February is one of my favorite times to explore the theme parks because the temperature is usually practically perfect and, depending on the dates, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is in full swing. By the time of your vacation, the
new Lightning Lane Pass system via the My Disney Experience App will be used. Let’s get into what that means for your upcoming trip.
The earliest that you can purchase and add Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or Lightning Lane Single Pass options to your My Disney Experience plans is up to 7 days before your Disney Resorts Collection hotel check-in date (for up to 14 days of your stay—woohoo!). By the way, if you’re staying off-site, you can make the experience selections up to 3 days before you go to the theme parks.
With the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can select up to 3 attractions from a theme park (in most cases, these attractions will be divided into two groups). One attraction can be selected from the more popular group and the other two can be from the lower-tiered group. (You can also pick all three from the lower tier if your heart desires.) This is perfect for maximizing your time at the theme parks.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you want to skip the standby queues for the most sought-after attractions, you’ll also want to consider buying a Lightning Lane Single Pass. At the moment, these attractions include rides like TRON Lightcycle / Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Just like the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can also book Lightning Lane Single Passes up to 7 days in advance (or 3 days, if you’re not staying at an eligible hotel).
