If I book annual tickets online however am not planning to visit the parks for another week, am I able to start booking fast passes once I purchase the tickets? Does my annual ticket date start the day of purchase or the day I first enter the parks? Thanks

Hi, Annette! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I have to warn you about something ... the Annual Passes are so magical, they will entice you to visit Walt Disney World Resort every single chance that you get! I see that you are a Florida resident, so I bet that pull from the pixie dust will be extra strong for you! Now more than ever, it is a great time to become members of the Annual Passholder family. With Epcot blooming up its International Flower & Garden Festival this spring and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opening later this summer, you are sure to get some great use of your pass. Do keep an eye on the Passholder Extras and Passholder Discounts pages and try to take advantage of as many opportunities as you can this year!

While you are able to purchase an Annual Pass online, it will not be officially activated until you enter a theme park for the first time. Please note that if you do purchase a Florida Resident Annual Pass, then you will need to first show proof of residency before it can be activated. The Annual Pass will then be dated to expire one year from the date you activated it.

While your Annual Pass is not yet activated, you can still make FastPass+ selections for your trip next week. With it linked to your My Disney Experience account, then the system will recognize it and allow you to find availability for your favorite attractions. I have a quick tip for you - be sure to look in the final days before your visit to check for more FastPass+ availability. Guests change their plans all the time, especially right before their trips. You never know what magical FastPass+ choices you may find!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and please let us know if you have any other questions!
