Welcome aboard, Melissa!
Great to hear that you are checking out the
Alaskan itineraries onboard the Disney Cruise for next year. You are on target about the scenery - there's lots of majestic beauty to appreciate out there. Of all the Disney Cruise itineraries, the Alaskan voyage definitely sets itself apart. My kids were about that age when we sailed to Alaska and they had an amazing time! We spent a few pre-cruise days in Vancouver, and really enjoyed the sights there first. It's a scenic town with lots of great food places, which my family enjoys.
The Youth Clubs are a flurry of activity - kids just never tire of being in there. The youth counselors do such a wonderful job working with the kids at the Oceaneer Club & Lab, my kids seem to never want to leave. It's always something new and different each day. They'll surely find a new friend to spend fun activities with.
There's lots of educational and even jaw-dropping
Port Adventures to choose from. The ports of call offers cruisers such an array of choices - from sightseeing to family-friendly, yet thrilling adventures. Leave it to Disney Cruise to come up with excursions that allows families to adventure together. The choices are top notch and your kids will surely be engaged in activity. Another event to look forward to is the
Pixar Pals party, the signature party on the Disney Wonder as it sails through Alaska. Those songs just make people happy - that's a pretty spectacular show and all the characters are just plain awesome.
There's so much to see and do. You and your kids will have a magical time! Let me know if you have specific questions - I'm always glad to help!
