If I only book 2 advanced lightning lanes, once I scan into my first ride, am I able to make 2 more at a different park or do I have to make 1 more at my first park?

    Kachow, Lucy!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for making a pitstop here at planDisney with your question. Since it looks like you are arriving today, I'll get to your answer faster than fast and quicker than quick!

Lucy, if you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can purchase and select your first three initial Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections, and purchase the Lightning Lane Single Passes, beginning seven days before your Resort check-in date for the entirety of your stay up to 10 days. If you are NOT staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can purchase and select your first three initial Lightning Lane Multipass selections, and purchase your Lightning Lane Single Pass, beginning three days prior to each park day.

Now, if you are planning to park hop, you can use your Lightning Lane Multi Pass at more than one park on the same day. However, the system will only allow you to pre-select (prior to your park day) a maximum of three Lightning Lane Selections at one park.  Once you tap into that first ride, you will be able to make selections at another park if you are planning to visit another park later in the day.  However, you can only hold three Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections at one time, regardless of whether or not they are in the same park or at two different parks.

One thing to note is that for the Lightning Lane Multipass, you have different attractions you can select and reserve (they do not include any of the attractions on the Single Lightning Lane pass.)  However, for three of the parks, there are two tiers of attractions. You can reserve one attraction in Tier 1 and two attractions in Tier 2 or all three attractions in Tier 2.  At any time, you can hold three reservations, but there always can only be one in Tier 1 and two in Tier 2 or all three in Tier 2 (if you don't have a Tier 1 reservation.)

Single Lightning Lane passes are not the same as the Lightning Lane Multipass, as they are specific to a select few attractions.  When you purchase a Single Lightning Lane pass, you are purchasing access to that specific attraction only and it is for one-time use.  You do not have the option to add another attraction after you use the Single Lightning Lane pass.  If you are in a park that has more than one Single Lightning Lane attraction, you need to purchase a Single Lightning Lane for each one (and these are separate transactions.)  If you are planning to park hop, you can purchase Single Lighting Lane passes for both parks on the same day.  For example, if you will be in Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, you can purchase Single Lane Passes for both TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind on the same day.

I hope this helps you, Lucy! If you have any further questions, race back here and I'll be so happy to help you.
