    Can you book in advanced and be able to make payments on the vacation?

    Welcome to planDisney. I am so very excited to hear that you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I am a huge fan of booking my travel plans far in advance. This gives me plenty of time to finalize all the details, both big and small. So, let's talk about how far in advance you can plan a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth and go over how to make payments. 

    Rebecca, you can book a Walt Disney World vacation package for dates into January of 2023. Packages for the remainder of 2023 will be released later this year. Be sure to keep an eye on The Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news about Walt Disney World. You will also be able to find details about vacation packages on The Walt Disney World website. If you would like to book a Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotel room or suite before packages are released you can do so up to 499 days before your arrival. This is a great option if there is a specific room or resort that is a must-stay for your travel party. Some Disney Resort hotels are extremely popular and can be booked to capacity far in advance. I recommend this option if you do not have a lot of flexibility with your dates or resort choices. When vacation packages for your travel dates are released you can upgrade your room reservation to a package with tickets and Magical Extras. 

    Currently, a deposit of $200 is required to book a Walt Disney World Vacation package. The remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to check-in at your resort. You will be able to make payments in any amount at any time between reservation booking and the balance due date. I personally like to divide the balance over the months until arrival to design my own payment plan. Payments can be made online in My Disney Experience. This will be your go-to site for all of your vacation planning needs. You will also have the option of paying towards your balance over the phone by speaking with a friendly Cast Member with Disney Resort Hotel Reservations.
