Hi there, Leslie!
Welcome to planDisney. It sounds like you already booked your Disney Cruise. What a wonderful feeling! Now you're ready to start planning all the extra fun that comes with it.
Port Adventures (also known as shore excursions) and onboard activities become available during your
booking window. For first‑time Guests, that window generally opens 75 days before your sail date. Concierge Guests get a bit more time and can typically arrange onboard experiences 130 days in advance with help from the Shoreside Concierge Services team. Some offerings do fill quickly, so it’s worth logging in right when your window opens.
Did you know you can start exploring potential Port Adventures on the
Disney Cruise Line website now? Under the "Destinations" tab, scroll to "Port Adventures" and browse by region. Filters let you narrow things down by activity type, price, accessibility, and more. You can view multiple ports at once, but I find it easier to look at each port individually. It helps me picture what our day might look like without getting overwhelmed by all the choices.
Keep in mind that while some experiences listed on the website may not be available for your sailing, there will be plenty of fun activities for you to enjoy! Each itinerary has its own mix, but previewing everything still gives you a great sense of what’s possible. I usually keep a short list of “top picks” for each port and a few onboard activities I’d love to snag once my booking window opens.
For experiences while at sea, the "
Onboard Activities" section on the website works the same way. Once you choose your ship, you’ll see options like beverage tastings, specialty dining, character experiences, and more. My family likes to book a
beverage tasting for the adults, brunch at
Palo, and something special for the kids, like
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Leslie, I hope you create core memories during your Disney Cruise! Do not hesitate to reach out to planDisney again if you have more questions.
Happy sailing!
Jen
