With only a boo bash ticket for Magic Kingdom, would one be able to gain earlier entry for dinner reservation, say at 6 or 630. Or would they cap it at the advertised 7pm.

Hey there, Danny! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I'm excited to see that you were able to purchase a Boo Bash ticket for your vacation later this year. This all-new event sure is mighty popular! Danny, because the after hours Boo Bash is so new, I don't really have an idea on how the early entry will work other than the details that they have provided. I would say that you would not be able to enter Magic Kingdom Park before 7:00 p.m. with your party ticket since the party does not actually start until 9:00 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. depending on the day. If it were me, I'd make the advanced dining reservations right after 7:00 p.m. so as not to risk it. If you don't show up for an advanced dining reservation, you can be charged a penalty fee of $10.00 per person. That can really add up depending on your party size. If you have dinner right around 7:00 p.m., you still won't miss any of the party festivities since those don't start until 9:00 p.m.

Alternatively, if you wanted to be able to enter Magic Kingdom Park right at 7:00 p.m. with your after hours ticket and enjoy some attractions before the party starts, you could always have dinner before at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels that are close by. If you are looking for quick service dining options, I really enjoy the food at both Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. If you were hoping for more of a sit down meal, a fan favorite, 'Ohana, is reopening in July and would be a great spot for you to enjoy dinner before going to the party. 'Ohana is a very popular dining spot so if this interests you, you will need to make sure to snag an advanced dining reservation. You can make advanced dining reservations 60 days prior to your check-in date. The system opens up online at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time and 7:00 a.m. over the phone.

I'm sorry I don't have more information for you, Danny. We truly won't know if the entry time can be moved up slightly until after some of the first parties take place. At this point, I would plan on being at the gates right at 7:00 p.m. for a full evening of fun. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask me

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
