Bonjour! I am planning to visit Disneyland Paris in October. I know Halloween is a uniquely American holiday, but are there any spooky or fall themed special events or foods at Disneyland Paris during that time of year?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Alicia!

I’m so glad you thought to stop by with your Disneyland Paris questions! You’re absolutely right—Halloween celebrations in the U.S. have a distinct flair compared to the more understated European traditions. The bold costumes, overflowing sweets, and decked-out decorations are all part of what makes an American Halloween so unique!

And that’s part of the charm of Disneyland Paris. Just remember, the Walt Disney Company is truly an American company at heart, so wherever it pops up around the world, you’ll always find that special touch of American charm woven in! I first fell in love with Disneyland Paris as a homesick student because it was a perfect mix of that familiar American magic and the beauty of European history.

But here’s the magical part, Alicia: Disneyland Paris brings that same vibrant Halloween spirit across the pond! I first fell in love with Disneyland Paris as a homesick student, and it’s such a wonderful blend of classic American charm mixed with European history. You’ll be happy to know that Halloween at Disneyland Paris is every bit as festive as at our home parks. The characters don their spookiest costumes, the delicious treats are treating, and villains come out to play. You’ll even get to enjoy Halloween-themed parades filled with all the magic you’d expect. And let’s not forget that you’ll get to enjoy it all in the cool, crisp French autumn air—a refreshing change from what we Californians usually experience!

The Disney Halloween Festival runs from October 1st through November 3rd this year, so you’ll be right in the middle of all the fun. I hope you're excited!

Well, as King Scar says, I hope this helps you “Be Prepared!" for your visit, Alicia! I’ve loved sharing these tips with you, so I can’t wait to hear more about your plans!

    Hurry baaaaaaaack!
