Bonjour, indeed Amy! And welcome aboard planDisney!
All this cooking...and TV-watching while we cook...and read...and plan...it's like you're involving me in a great time, and I let you! Why do I let you?! It's because brunch at
Remy is an incredible experience and anyone who doesn't LIKE food but LOVES it is in for the culinary time of their lives!
Ok, so it might sound like I'm JUST a little bit overzealous, but I'm so excited that you're going to give Remy brunch a chance - and so soon, too! I'm a big fan of
Palo brunch as well, but they're completely different experiences. If Palo brunch is an upscale brunch with Italian influences (those flatbreads are pretty legendary, right?) Remy brunch is a little slice of Paris right on the
Disney Dream and
Disney Fantasy, and there's truly nothing like it!
If you've ever dined at Remy for dinner, you already know how luxurious and immersive the experience is. My wife and I did the dinner and wine pairing one time and STILL talk about it, and that was nearly six years ago! I'd say brunch is very similar, with a set menu and the opportunity to make it a "Champagne Brunch" for an additional cost - which I highly recommend if you're into Champagne.
You'll experience a series of small plates, bursting with flavor and masterfully constructed to exacting standards - each dish truly feels like a work of art. But just as Remy teaches Emile how to experience food, the courses at Remy brunch practically BEG to be eaten with your eyes closed to let your palate dance and sing with each bite. Not saying you'll see swirls of color and hear avant-garde, pizzicato basslines, but I'm not saying you WON'T either.
The menu is a journey, and shades toward fresh, bold flavors in delicate, light dishes. High-quality meat, seafood, and produce are all allowed to shine, and the chefs take the utmost care to provide unctuous plates of uncompromising quality. That said, in the grand Disney service tradition, you'll be asked if you have any allergies or food sensitivities, and if so, the usual menu can be adjusted. The ambiance, the class, and the quality are something we've yet to experience since and became such a key part of what turned out to be our last cruise before our son was born!
Oh, and here's a "planDrew-approved" tip: in my experience, going in TOO hungry will lead to you devouring everything too quickly to truly savor as Remy (the character, not the restaurant) would want you to. So, if you have a later brunch reservation, I'd suggest snagging a small bite at
Cabanas, ordering breakfast
room service, or swinging by
Cove Cafe to get you through the morning and to Remy, "hungry for more," as Ego so eloquently put it.
Well, Amy, now I'm ready to stow away just for the opportunity to do it all again! I hope I've been able to whet your appetite enough to get you excited for this brunch! Thank you so much for your question, and the opportunity to re-live a great culinary memory! If you have any other questions before you set sail in a few short weeks, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Bon Appétit et À votre santé!
