Bonjour Ariane, I think there was a bit of a misunderstanding with my last question. We are flying in to the Orlando/Sanford Airport, not the Orlando International Airport. Do you have any suggestions for transportation from this airport to Disney? Thanks!

    Bonjour Danielle!

Welcome back to planDisney, and thank you so much for reaching back out! I am so glad you pointed this out, and I am glad I can help you further in planning your magical vacation. Thankfully, the Orlando Sanford International Airport also has many transportation services to choose from, so you can see which one best fits your budget and needs.

Transportation from and to the Orlando Sanford International Airport is very similar to that available at the Orlando International Airport, with one exception. Unfortunately, MEARS Connect does not currently service this airport, but a quick Google search will show you which shuttle services are available. Then, the same services apply: ride-share and taxi services are available on site, or you can rent a car. If you are planning on arriving later during the day and want the quickest option, taxis and ride-share apps are typically the fastest way to get out of the airport and to the parks, though they can be more expensive. If you want to add some non-Disney stops to your itinerary, a rental car is a great way to not only get around the airport but Orlando as well. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, the cost of theme park parking is also included in your stay, so you can get complimentary standard theme park parking. Personally, however, I always love using the Walt Disney World Bus service as the proximity of the bus stops sure is great after a long park day! Lastly, the shuttle services are typically cheaper while still being comfortable, but they can take more time if they have to make multiple stops.

Now, Danielle, I am glad to see that you will be able to experience all the 50th-celebration magic before it ends on March 31st, 2023. Some of the celebration's offerings I enjoy the most are the new nighttime spectaculars that have been lighting up the sky over the past year: Disney Enchantment and Harmonious. Both nighttime spectaculars have become some of my favourites, and I hope you enjoy them too. Plus, speaking of great nighttime spectaculars, have you heard the news? Fantasmic! is set to return to Disney's Hollywood Studios by the end of the year, and we could not be more excited! To keep an eye on all returning offerings and other Disney news, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog.

I hope this was helpful, Danielle, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out. It is always such an honour to help fellow Canadians plan their magical vacations!

    Have a magical day,

    Ariane
