Thanks so much for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Luther!
This weekend is going to be buzzing with activity because it's
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! This week, runners from all over the world will be arriving to take part in a variety of
runDisney races in and around the Theme Parks. It's one of the most exciting weekends of the year but with that comes some changes to the normal traffic patterns so let's have a look at what you can expect when you're there.
Luther, the best way to get to
Magic Kingdom Park on Saturday morning in time for your 8 a.m. breakfast at
Be Our Guest Restaurant would be to use
Minnie Van Service. The parking lots at the Transportation and Ticket Center will not be open in time for you to park and take either the
monorail or the
ferry to the entrance gate of the Theme Park. A Minnie Van will be able to pick you up from your
Resort Hotel drop you off right in front of Magic Kingdom Park where the buses are so you don't need to worry about the road closures or any other delays surrounding the
Walt Disney World Half-Marathon on Saturday morning. If you are starting your journey from a hotel off-site, then there will be a drop-off lane open for rideshare and other privately-arranged transportation that will take you to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Make sure to let your driver know to follow the road signs and not their navigation app because the signs will have the most up-to-date information, and start a little earlier than you normally would because the road closures may cause some traffic delays in the morning.
Have a magical day, Luther!
