Ahoy there Shannon! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for floating your question by us.
How exciting that you have an upcoming stay at one of my family's favorite places to call home. We were so enamored with the laid back vibes and spacious villas at
Disney's Old Key West Resort, that after our first stay here, we became
Disney Vacation Club members.
During the
current phase of reopening, Disney Springs watercraft service is temporarily unavailable, and we don't yet know exactly when these boats will return to operation. I recommend checking the
Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go site as well as the
Walt Disney World Water Transportation page so you know what to expect as your vacation nears.
Buses are available to take Guests to
Disney Springs from Disney's Old Key West Resort, and even though I've always enjoyed the watercraft for the relaxing, scenic experience it offers, you will reach your destination more quickly by bus. The main bus stop in Disney Springs, located near the Landing district, is efficient and easy to navigate.
If you're like me and always looking for your next Disney snack, you'll find plenty of treats to tote home as you make your way back to the bus.
Gideon's Bakehouse and
Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew are the new kids on the block and have both opened to rave reviews. I can't wait to sink my sweet tooth into their larger than life cookies and donuts on my next visit!
Shannon, I hope you have a fantastic spring getaway to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If there is anything else we at
planDisney can do to make your stay more memorable,
come visit us again. We're always happy to help!
