Greetings, Teresa and welcome to planDisney!
Teresa, my family and I
enjoyed a stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort just this past August and it was the perfect island-inspired escape. I hope you love it!
Teresa, during our trip,
water transportation was not available to Disney Springs and hasn't yet been given a reopening date. Hoping aboard a water taxi, whether it be to Disney Springs or to Magic Kingdom Park when we're staying at our "home" resort,
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, is my favorite way to travel. Teresa, I'll be wishing on a star for you that we see the return of water transportation to Disney Springs soon. I would encourage you to keep a close eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as Tinker Bell will often sprinkle announcements there first. In the meantime, I'm happy to report that
Disney Bus Transportation is available to
Disney Springs. My family and I took the bus back and forth from
Disney's Old Key West Resort to Disney Springs several times and found it a quick and easy trip.
Teresa, I hope this helps as you are planning ahead for your upcoming trip. If you haven't yet thought about dining while on vacation, I'll encourage you to take advantage of your location and book a table at
Olivia's Cafe. This quaint spot adjacent to the
Conch Flat's General Store is the perfect place to relax after a long park day and if you like fried chicken, theirs will have you longing for seconds.
Best wishes, Teresa, for a Magical vacation. I hope you'll come on back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have.
Lauren
