Are boats running from Fort Wilderness to Magic Kingdom? When is the best time to view Magic Kingdom fireworks from Fort Wilderness?

    Hey-howdy-hey, Heather! Welcome to planDisney!

Looks like you'll be loading up the gang and heading for the Wilderness next week! I just know you'll have a rootin', tootin' time. If you ask me, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is one of the best places to call "home" at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Even though it feels like a world away, "the Fort" is just a hop and a skip from the Magic Kingdom Park aboard Disney water transportation! When you're ready to hit the theme park, just head over to the Fort Wilderness Marina and board a boat that will take you directly to the magic. Plus, the views are amazing! You'll feel like you've floated to the Great Northwest when you glide by Disney's Wilderness Lodge, only to turn around and see the sleek lines of Disney's Contemporary Resort rising before you. Before you know it, Space Mountain and Cinderella Castle come into view, and you'll be ready for your adventure to begin!

Later that night, when you've returned to your cozy cabin or campsite, you can hop back over to the Marina and view the fireworks of Disney Enchantment right from the dock or at Clementine's Beach. Times for the show can vary each night, so you'll want to check the calendar to make sure you don't miss a sparkling minute!

From a relaxing boat ride to an exciting fireworks spectacular, I hope this helps you make the most of your time at the Fort, Heather! Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
