Ahoy there, Nikki!
I'm so glad that you reached out to planDisney to help you find your "happily ever after..." and answer your vacation planning questions. Today, the Walt Disney World Resort announced that my favorite nighttime spectacular
"Happily Ever After" returns to Magic Kingdom Park on April 3, 2023, AND TRON Lightcycle / Run is scheduled to open April 4, 2023. This is just in time for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Now that I got my excitement out of the way, let me answer your actual question. If this Jersey girl and marine biologist gets to decide what type of transportation I'm using, I will always choose
water transportation. At this moment, water transportation isn't available between
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. However, if you're like Moana and just want to spend time on the water, you could take the boat from Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to Magic Kingdom Theme Park and, from there, take a short walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Depending on how quickly you walk, it may only take about 10-15 minutes to walk from Magic Kingdom Theme Park to Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Here's a fun tip: I just learned on a recent trip that Walt Disney World Resort Transportation often gives out Disney Transport Official Collector Cards to little ones when they travel by bus, watercraft, monorail, tram, and
Minnie Van.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
