    Is the boat from Wilderness Lodge to Disney World able to accommodate a scooter?

    Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    It's so great to see you have a Walt Disney World vacation coming up! The holiday season is one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World and there are so many special events and celebrations — from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! to Candlelight Processional and more. It's also exciting to hear you're planning a stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Resort a few months ago, and my trip next month has me returning there.

    One of the benefits of Disney's Wilderness Lodge that I really appreciate is the convenient water taxi to Magic Kingdom Park. There are different types of boats that provide the water transportation. The smaller water taxi or water launch is the type of boat where Guests step down into the boat, and these boats would not be able to accommodate an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV). The larger cruisers would be able to accommodate an ECV. The availability of the different types of boats can vary with water levels and weather conditions. My best suggestion is to speak with one of the water transportation Cast Members at the dock for assistance, and to allow for some extra time in the event you need to wait for one of the larger boats to take you over to Magic Kingdom Park. In my experience, I've found that that the water transportation Cast Members are more than happy to help you get to where you need to go.

    I'll also share that if you're looking for a delicious yet casual outdoor dining experience, I highly recommend Geyser Point Bar & Grill. Personally, I think their Bison Cheeseburger is one of the best burgers at Walt Disney World.
