How is the boat transportation from WL to MK? Is it consistently early enough to make it in time for rope drop?

    Hey, Heather!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney's Wilderness Lodge takes you to the Pacific Northwest with beautiful views of Bay Lake, totem poles and a giant fireplace that you just want to cozy up to and read a book.

The red flag ferry boats that leave from Disney's Wilderness Lodge boat dock and travel to Magic Kingdom Park are scheduled to leave at least 30 minutes before the theme park opens. This is plenty of time to see the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show.

I would highly recommend getting the boat schedule from the front desk of the Resort hotel as they will be able to give you the most up to date information regarding boat arrival and departure times. Just know, in the case of inclement weather, they will have the Walt Disney World Bus Service get you to the theme park!

Disney Dad Tip: Ask the front desk about the Hidden Mickey Hunt. If you find them all, then you get a prize. My sons and I had a blast roaming the grounds in search of these little pieces of Disney Imagineering embedded into the...well I almost gave it away.

Heather, enjoy making many Magical Memories at Walt Disney World Resort!
