Welcome back to planDisney, Diana! Thanks for sharing your question with us!
There is an array of
complimentary transportation options to help you get around Walt Disney World. Which is great considering that the entire property is larger than some cities! You may be able to travel by land, sea, or air, depending on your destination, so let’s make sure you’ve got the directions you need for a magical vacation.
First things first, make sure you have the
My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device. Not only does the app allow you to make reservations and manage your tickets, but it can also provide step-by-step directions with estimated travel times to most locations around Walt Disney World. I use it on every visit.
Schedules and routes are subject to change, but it looks like there is not currently a water taxi running directly between Saratoga Springs and Port Orleans - Riverside. You can, however, walk from Saratoga Springs to Disney Springs (Blue, Green, Purple, & Yellow Launch), where you can catch a water taxi headed to Port Orleans - Riverside. At the time I’m writing this, the My Disney Experience app estimates a water-based route to be 54 minutes, and a bus-based journey (which still includes walking to Disney Springs) to be 53 minutes.
Since travel times fluctuate from day to day, and even from hour to hour, be sure to check the app when you head out for the most up-to-date directions. And don’t hesitate to ask a Cast Member for assistance, they’re always happy to point you in the right direction.
I hope this info helps with your vacation planning, Diana. Pop right back if you have any more questions. Your planDisney pals are happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
