Hello Myron and welcome back!
The boat rides around the Walt Disney World Resort are a relaxing and enjoyable way to get from place to place and see the Resort from a different vantage point. There are a few options for cruising around the Resort with a captain. You should call the fine folks at recreational reservations as soon as possible since your trip starts TODAY! That number is (407) 939-7529. They will be able to check availability for both
day and firework cruises.
If you would like to captain your own private adventures, there are boats for rent. These are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can inquire about these rentals at any of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels that have a marina. You can read more about these options, including prices and marina locations
here.
Your other option for seeing the sites from the water is actually free! There are many
watercraft transportation options available on nearly every body of water within the Resort. You can catch a large ferry from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom, or a smaller craft between the resorts around the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. Between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can catch a boat that cruises through Crescent Lake as it stops at several different resorts. There is also a watercraft ride between Disney Springs and
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, Disney's Old Key West Resort, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort.
As you can see, there are many ways to see the sights on watercraft at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Bon Voyage!
