Hey, Melanie.
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for visiting us with your question today, we are happy you stopped by! It looks like you will soon be visiting
The Most Magical Place on Earth, how exciting! I love getting the opportunity to help fellow Guests plan their perfect Walt Disney World vacation.
There are so many
ways to travel around Walt Disney World, and boat transportation is my absolute favourite way to travel between destinations, time spent on the boat really is my slice of Disney zen! There is boat transportation available between
Disney's Port Orleans French Quater and Disney Springs. There is not a direct route between Port Orleans French Quater and
Disney's Old Key West Resort. However, all Guests are able to use boat transportation where it is available across Walt Disney World, so you could normally take the boat between Disney Springs and Old Key West, however between February and early April 2025 this service will be unavailable, so you would need to take a bus between Disney Springs and Old Key West.
I highly recommend taking the time to visit Old Key West, it is a beautiful resort to walk through and is a real spot for tranquillity outside of the Disney Parks. It is actually the first resort I stayed at on my first visit to Orlando and is a big part of the reason I came to love Walt Disney World as much as I do!
I hope this helps to answer your question, Melanie. I hope you have the BEST vacation in just a few months. If you have any further questions please
reach out to me. I'd love to help.
Have a magical day!
Matt
