Is there a boat from the contemporary resort to the wilderness lodge to attend the hoop de due revue?

    Hi Matthias,

Howdy, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Boat service is available from the Contemporary Resort to the Fort Wilderness Resort, home of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and the water taxis are the most convenient way to get to Pioneer Hall for the show and dinner. (Make sure you have plenty of room for the scrumptious fried chicken and strawberry shortcake).

You will find the dock for the water taxis behind the Contemporary. A couple of cautions: Make sure you catch the right boat. Water taxis depart the same dock for the Wilderness Lodge; you want Fort Wilderness transportation. And allow plenty of time. Boats should arrive about every 20 minutes, but weather conditions and other factors can alter the schedule.

Still, the boat from the Contemporary or from Magic Kingdom is the most direct route to Hoop-Dee-Doo. It's a short stroll from the dock to Pioneer Hall.

Hoop-Dee-Doo suggests guests arrive 30 minutes in advance, so I would plan to be at the boat dock at least 90 minutes before your scheduled seating. If you have extra time, you can take a stroll to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, shop in the Settlement Trading Post or have a soda or an adult beverage at Crockett's Tavern. Or you can simply relax in a rocking chair on the porch until show time.

I hope that helps you with your planning, Matthias. Please let us know if you have any more questions as you gear up for your upcoming vacation. Enjoy!
