When does the boat from the Contemporary to Fort Wilderness Resort start in the morning? To take the bus or a boat, how much time should I account for if I have a 9am breakfast reservation at Fort Wilderness and I'm staying at the Contemporary?

Hi Theresa! It sounds like you are heading to Trails End for their wonderful breakfast buffet during your Disney vacation. We love the breakfast and dinner buffets there as well as their menu offered lunch. Make sure you save room for their sticky buns!

The boats connecting the Contemporary Resort, Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness will start very early in the morning. This is the best and most fun way to reach the Fort. Since dining begins at 7am for Chef Mickey the first boat from the Fort Wilderness resort is at 6:45am. If you have a 9am reservation I would be at the end of the Contemporary marina by 8:30am. This would give you plenty of time to enjoy the short boat ride. The Trails End restaurant is just a quick five minute walk from the marina.

If for some very rare reason that the weather is extremely windy or foggy they will offer buses from the Magic Kingdom park. This is very rare as I said so I don't think I would even worry about it but if it does happen give yourself an hour to reach the restaurant. You would need to take the internal bus from the front of the resort so that takes extra time.

I am confident you will be sailing away to Trails End and enjoying a superb breakfast during your vacation!
