Welcome back to planDisney, Cailyn.
Before I answer your question, let's get into a laidback, seaside state of mind. Do you hear the laughter of the people walking by? Do you see the lights shining across Crescent Lake? Oops, watch out...a family is going downhill on their
Surrey Bike! Oh hold on a minute, do you smell that?! I think it's the fresh-baked goods from the
BoadWalk Deli. I don't mind if you stop in...I'll wait. Okay, now that you've got something to eat (or drink from
BoardWalk Joe's Marvelous Margaritas, I don't judge) and you're feeling relaxed, let's answer your question.
The midway games on
Disney's BoardWalk usually open in the late afternoon/early evening, weather permitting. Hours and availability can vary, based on the season and the demand. But don't worry, even if the games aren't open when you are there, there's an
Arcade at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn you can enjoy while exploring the area!
If you're looking for more to do around this area, there is plenty! Some great restaurants are nearby like
Cape May Cafe at
Disney's Beach Club Resort,
Ale & Compass Restaurant at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and
Trattoria al Forno on the BoardWalk. Oh, I can't forget
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Talk about a seaside diner vibe with some great comfort food and delicious desserts! And then there's the nighttime entertainment that can often be found on the BoardWalk itself (weather and season dependent) and great offerings for Guests 21 and older at
Jellyrolls and
Atlantic Dance Hall! There's so much to do...it makes for a great resort day/rest day in the middle of your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Cailyn, I hope you enjoy your time on the BoardWalk and at the resort as a whole. If you have any other questions,
I'm here for you!
I don't know why, but I've always enjoyed the idea of summer and sun, and all things hot,
Matt
