Is Boardwalk Bakery a good place for lunch with a gluten free diet? Thinking of going there on our HS day.

    Hi, Jaynee!

The Boardwalk Bakery has a very limited menu. As you can see on their menu, there are just a few sandwiches, soup of the day, and a salad.  You can definitely ask for their nutritional information to find something suitable, but I'm afraid the selection would be limited to perhaps the salad.

You will need to confirm when ordering, but I believe that the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios has gluten free buns, so you might be able to enjoy a burger or chicken sandwich there.  If you want to stick with having lunch on the Boardwalk, try the ESPN Club.  This is a full service restaurant that will have many more options to accommodate your diet. Plus, it just a really fun place to eat and hang out!

Whenever in doubt, make sure to ask for nutritional information or ask to speak to the Chef so you can make sure you are eating all foods that are within your limits. The cast members will be happy to help.

    Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
