Ahoy there Shelli and welcome to planDisney, we're so glad to have you on board!
Firstly, I'd like to wish you both congratulations on your 30th Anniversary; there's really nothing like looking back on the years since you've tied the knot as you travel in nautical style on your
4-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise. I'm happy to shed a little light onto some ways to commemorate your anniversary as you set off on the Atlantic Ocean from
Port Canaveral!
This year I will have sailed on the
Disney Wish a number of times, and on each voyage I was successful with the
special seating requests that we had made for the dining locations on board. Now generally speaking, you might find that early dining seating tends to be a bit more challenging than opting for the later seating when you factor in how many families with young children are eager to eat earlier. (In my personal experience, you can definitely tell that there's usually a more boisterous vibe with younger families looking to dine before bedtime when you compare what it sounds between the two seatings - which also extends to the experience at showtime at the
Walt Disney Theatre.) In my years of travelling on board I've not only found there to be a higher likelihood of having my seating requests granted for later seatings, but an overall more enjoyable experience on our adventures without children in tow.
That said, it's always a good idea to speak with a Crew Member or Officer from the dining team on board the Disney Wish as soon as possible on Embarkation day to look at your options and see whether they have a bit of wiggle room that they can work with. On our most recent voyage, this was located in
Luna on Deck 4 and the crew were able to quickly look up our stateroom number and make modifications; this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed so it may be a good idea to have the other couples joining on this voyage help confirm whether and where this will take place as you board so that you're among the first guests seeking dining requests.
As for your anniversary celebrations, keep an eye on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for an adults-only event called "
Match Your Mate" where you may get the chance to face off against other couples in different seasons of their marriage in pursuit of great prizes and an experience you'll never forget, which typically takes place in Luna as well. Beyond special adult-exclusive dining offerings such as
Enchanté or
Palo Steakhouse, I personally find the stunning
Atrium of the Disney Wish to be a great location to experience what is known as the "Glass Slipper Kiss Goodnight", and you might also be interested in starting your voyage off with a
special in-room surprise or Romance Package delivered to your stateroom.
Wishing you all the best as you set sail into many more years of your Happily Ever After,
Prince
