How do boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance work when you have an ADR? Does the system know or is there a chance that your boarding group and ADR will be at the same time?

Bright Suns, Erin! It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You sound totally up to date with all the news coming from the planet Batuu! Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the brand new attraction that just opened up at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is not using a traditional standby queue or FastPass+ but is instead using the boarding group system, which is a virtual queue. You can join a boarding group as soon as your entire group has tapped their MagicBands or tickets to enter Disney's Hollywood Studios. All you need to do is fire up the My Disney Experience app and tap on the "Find Out More" button right in the middle of the home screen under the picture of the AT-ATs to be taken to the screen to join a boarding group. You'll be given a number an approximate time of day when you'll be able to return and ride the attraction.

The system that distributes boarding groups does not account for any advanced dining reservations or FastPass+ selections that you already have scheduled. You will have two hours from the time your boarding group is called to return to ride, so I recommend making any of your dining reservations at restaurants that are close by. Anything that you can access using the Disney Skyliner is a really good choice! At the moment, guests are only being allowed one boarding group per day, so be sure to check-in at the front of the attraction before your two-hour window expires.

'Til the Spire, Erin, and may the Force be with you!
