Hi Robert!
Wahoo – you are going on your FIRST Disney Cruise Line vacation! You will absolutely love it and I am so excited for the fun that awaits you onboard the Disney Wonder! My family is actually boarding the Disney Wonder later this week and we can’t wait. I am especially looking forward to the bread pudding and beignets at Tiana’s Place! That bread pudding might be my favorite dessert…EVER!!
On a five-night cruise you can expect to have one optional “dress up night”, one
Pirate Night and three cruise casual nights! On the optional “dress up night” you will see Guests in a variety of attire – from cruise casual to fancy fancy! It’s up to you how dressed up you want to get on that evening. There may or may not be a Captains Reception during that night, as the schedule of onboard activities has not yet been finalized for your sailing. Pirate Night is one of my favorite nights onboard – again, dressing in Pirate garb is optional, but it’s always so much fun to dress as swashbuckling pirates for all the fun onboard activities that go along with Pirate Night. I always suggest picking up some pirate costumes NOW since they are readily available with Halloween approaching! Then you will be set when it’s time to start packing!
As a first-time Guest, your Online Check-In and onboard activities booking window will open 75 days prior to your sailing. At that time, you will be able to reserve any Port Adventure excursions, so I always recommend looking ahead of time at some of the available options so once your window opens you are ready to go! You can set a cruise countdown clock in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to help you keep track of how many days to go!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
