Hi Nicole!
It is so great "sea"-ing another question from you! Not only does my little guy roll through life in a wheelchair, we need to bring large pieces of medical equipment for him, too! I completely understand you wanting to map out the smoothest-sailing route to lunch for your hubby and family members after boarding the ship.
Depending on when your
designated Port Arrival Time is, you will have a few yummy options for lunch once you board! (Please note, schedules are always subject to change.) The lunch buffet in
Cabanas, one of the Main Dining Restaurants and the quick service options on the Pool Deck will all offer delicious choices. Cabanas is my family's favorite first stop for lunch after arriving onto the ship!
You will board the Disney Wonder in the beautiful Lobby Atrium on Deck 3. If you wanted to grab lunch at Cabanas, I recommend
wheeling straight to the aft elevators on Deck 3 and taking them up to Deck 9 where Cabanas is located. I'm not sure which one of the Main Dining Restaurants will be serving lunch on your embarkation day; if it's Triton's, you can enter right off the Lobby Atrium! (You'll see stairs leading into the restaurant from the Lobby, but the wheelchair entrance is just around the corner.) Finally, if you're looking for a tasty feast on the Pool Deck, either take the midship or aft elevators from Deck 3 to Deck 9.
Nicole, my family and I find all four ships of the Disney Cruise Line Fleet to be wheelchair friendly! Not only are the ships accessible, but the Cast Members and Crew are extremely accommodating, too! If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us again!
