Can you board the Sassagoula River Boat at Disney Springs and do a round trip back to Disney Springs without getting off. Thought it would be fun to do with the grandkids. Thanks for your hekp

Bon Voyage, Lynn! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question today! I've always loved experiencing the many modes of transportation available at the Walt Disney World Resort; it's part of the fun for me! In fact, one of my favorite childhood memories is how I used to tell everyone my favorite ride was the Disney Monorail (to be honest, it just might still be!)

Lynn, I think you're absolutely right that your grandkids would love to go on a river cruise along the Sassagoula River! This peaceful boat ride offers you transportation from Disney Springs to a few select Disney Resort hotels, including Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort.

While I can't guarantee that you'd be able to stay on board without disembarking (I'd recommend checking with the Cast Members operating the boat when you board), I would honestly recommend taking advantage of this voyage to make a stop at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. It may just be the New Orleans pride in me, but this is my favorite of the moderate resorts available at Disney, and it's also an excellent place to stop in and grab some Mickey-shaped beignets at Scat Cat's Club - Cafe! This resort also has fun, Mardi Gras-inspired theming and a playground where your grandkids can stop to burn off some energy! Once you've explored the grounds and had your powdery, sugary snack, you can head back down to the river and set sail back to Disney Springs!

Louisiana lagniappe (that's a little something extra): stop in at the Disney PhotoPass Studio during your time at Disney Springs to get some photos taken with your grandkids! The photographers offer a variety of backgrounds, and it's a quick, complimentary photo shoot that doesn't require a reservation! You'll be able to view your photos on the My Disney Experience mobile app, and if you've purchased Memory Maker, your downloads are included!

I hope this helps, Lynn! I'm wishing you the most magical memories with your grandchildren; if you have any other planning questions, come back to planDisney and let us know! We hope to see you again real soon!

    Magic and Memories,
