Hi! This board has been SO helpful with my planning! staying the week after marathon weekend 2010 w/ BF. Have 7pm ADR for dinner at Jiko, but heard Sanaa may be a better option - can you see the animals at night? General comparison? On the DP. THANKS :-)

    Hi Jessica,

Thanks so much for the feedback!  We truly enjoy our roles on the Panel.  I'm a huge fan of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, and love all three table service restaurants on property.  Jiko is a fantastic, signature dining establishment with incredible food and an equally impressive wine list.  If you are up for a romantic, or other special occasion dinner, I don't think it's possible to be disappointed here.  Sanaa is a wonderful, relatively new table service restaurant located at Kidani Village (a Disney Vacation Club property located right next door to the main lodge).  It is a bit more casual than Jiko.  It has a very impressive bar area.  The restaurant features super fresh Indian and African-inspired cuisine.  Their bread service is amazing!  The venue overlooks a savanna, and while you dine, you will be able to look out at exotic African wildlife.  My family ate at Sanaa back in August, and we had the same beautiful bird dining "with" us each night!  The savannas at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Kidani Village are lit by an artificial moonlight that mirrors a full moon, so even if you are dining in the evening, you will be able to see their inhabitants.

Have a fantastic dinner no matter which you chose!
