Hi, Alison, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited you're planning to attend
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party later this year. All the special-ticket events are on my must-do list, and I'll check out
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for the first time next month. We'll have to compare notes!
Now, let's talk technology and how to best link your photos to your My Disney Experience account during your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit.
I chatted with a savvy Cast Member named Teneka, who said that you can take advantage of the
Play Disney Parks app when your Bluetooth is enabled. This includes bounty-hunting games at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, playing Disney trivia, and more.
According to Teneka, if your Bluetooth is disabled, you can still link any pictures taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers by having them tap your MagicBand or MagicBand+, and you can tap any of your attraction photos with your band to link those.
Even with Bluetooth disabled, your band should still allow you to scan into the Theme Parks, open your Disney Resort Hotel door, and more. Some features, like the interactive lights and haptics, might not work, nor will your band activate the
Disney Fab 50 statues. I suggest you experiment in the parks to see if you think leaving Bluetooth on is better for you. I typically leave mine on with no issues.
Before I let you go, I have a suggestion if you're concerned about your phone's battery. I use Fuel Rods when I'm in the Theme Parks. For more information and locations, you can search
Portable Phone Charging System Kiosks in your mobile app. You make an initial purchase for the portable charging kit, and when the charger is depleted, you switch it out at any kiosk at any theme park for a fully charged one...for free!
Alison, I'm waving my magic wand so your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is festive and fabulous. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
