Hello! Where did the blue heart go on the restaurant pages to add to "my wish list"? I no longer see that option anywhere. Thank you!

    Hiya Jessica,

I am so glad you dropped in to planDisney with your question. I am positive that my oldest son's favorite part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is the food. The second we start planning for our next trip to The Happiest Place on Earth, his mouth starts watering. There are so many unique and delicious Walt Disney World restaurants to satisfy any craving you might have. There is something for every taste bud out there!

The "My Wish List" option was a great feature on the restaurant pages, especially for food connoisseurs like my son. I am sad to say, I had not noticed it was gone until recently. Since I was not sure if the button had moved and I was overlooking it, or if it was actually gone, I called the Walt Disney World Guest Services team for some help. The friendly Cast Member I spoke with explained that the Wish List option was removed around the time Walt Disney World introduced Disney Genie service. This service, conveniently built in as part of the My Disney Experience mobile app, has revolutionized Walt Disney World planning and vacations. By adding the mobile app to your smartphone, it is almost like having Genie right in your back pocket. Utilizing the Tip Board, you can select your favorite shows, attractions and restaurants and then track wait times on attractions, keep track of your dining reservations or even check in for your table. You can also use Disney Genie to place mobile orders and add your name to a waiting list at a restaurant.

While the Cast Member could not say if the Wish List button was gone forever, she did mention that Disney Genie is providing a similar role as the beloved blue button, as well as even more magic and assistance. She seemed to think this service has taken the place of the Wish List. I do have to say, we used Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ on our last three trips and have definitely "never had a friend like this"! I give it two thumbs up!

I hope you find the Disney Genie Tip Board as helpful as we do. If you have any additional planning questions, please stop back and see me
