Welcome to planDisney. It's a pleasure to greet a Guest from this side of the pond!
I'm pleased to confirm that
parking for Guests with disabilities is available throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Please ensure that your valid Blue Badge is clearly displayed in your vehicle. You can always speak with a friendly Cast Member at the Parking lot gate, and the route will be clearly signposted to the appropriate parking area. That said, Louise, I'm afraid to say, just as in the UK, you can't use an expired Blue Badge in Walt Disney World. I'm sending all the pixie dust I can muster that your application with your council is turned around quickly and you're in receipt before heading off on your adventure. You could email the specialist Cast Members at
disability.services@disneyparks.com to see if they can assist in this situation.
As you are here with us at
planDisney, I'd love to let you know of some other measures to ensure all Guests have a magical visit. One is the Disability Access Service (DAS), which can be obtained from Guest Services at each Park. This free service is available to Guests with disabilities that prevent them from standing in a regular queue. You can find further information on accommodations that may help you along your visit online, including
Attraction Access Categories.
I hope this information helps you to enjoy the magic at Walt Disney World, Louise!
