Hello, Raymond!
Welcome to planDisney. I am a big fan of the
Fantasmic! Dining Packages because my family can enjoy a delicious meal and access a reserved viewing area for my favorite Nighttime Spectacular. We recently celebrated the return of Fantasmic! with the
Blue Bayou Restaurant Dining Package. They had a Chocolate Decadence Tart and a Plant-Based Creme Brulee Tart when we dined there, and both were delectable!
In theory, you can make dining reservations for up to 20 Guests at one time. However, it can be very difficult to find dining availability for more than 8+ Guests in my experience. When I'm traveling with our extended family, we split up our group to make dining reservations. At least 2 adults log into their own MyDisney account on the Disneyland Resort website and each person makes dining reservations for part of the group around the same time. We arrive at the restaurant early and request to be seated together or near each other. Shared seating is never guaranteed, but we have not experienced any issues with this request. Patience is helpful, as it can take a little longer to be seated in these situations. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance on the
Disneyland Resort website or the
Disneyland Resort mobile app.
We have many food allergies in my family, and we have successfully eaten at Blue Bayou Restaurant countless times. During our recent visit, the Allergy-Friendly Kids' Menu included many peanut allergy-friendly choices, including a Cup of Chicken Gumbo, Whole Grain Pasta with Marinara Sauce, and Roasted Chicken. Indicate the allergy when you make your dining reservations, and also let the Cast Member know about the allergy when you are seated, as the menu is subject to change at any time.
Regarding the Guest who cannot eat solid foods, I suggest contacting
Special Diets to explore options. They typically request that Guests contact them within 14 days of their arrival date. Generally, every Guest who wants to view Fantasmic! as part of a Dining Package needs to pay for their package, as there are a limited number of reserved viewing spots available for Dining Packages. I know that is difficult if the Guest cannot eat the offered food!
Did you know you can
mobile order food on the Disneyland Resort app? It is such a time saver! Many Quick Service restaurants also have peanut allergy-friendly sections on their menus. Some of my favorite Quick Service restaurants with allergy-friendly menu choices include Flo's V8 Cafe, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, and Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill. My kids also love Galactic Grill!
Raymond, thank you again for contacting planDisney. Do not hesitate to
reach out to me if you have other questions!
Magic Happens!
