At BLT end of July. No travel in awhile, what are appropriate tips for Mousekeeping and Bell Services? Unrelated, blind but still love fireworks;what is latest should book Chef M to catch 8:45 P/P cruise from CR? Other suggestions appreciated.

    Hi Eugene,

Thanks for writing!  You have picked a magnificent resort for your long awaited return trip!  I haven't stayed at Bay Lake Tower, but I had the opportunity to tour it last year and was truly amazed!   How thoughtful that you are inquiring about tipping.  Gratuities are completely discretionary, however, I generally leave $1-$2 per person per day for Mousekeeping and $1-$2 per bag for Bell Services.

Disney Moms Beth, Margaret and I, along with our families recently experienced the  Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage and had a great time!   We all agreed it was a wonderful way to end a Disney day!   Guests are given a commemorative bandana, and are free to munch on a variety of snacks and drinks, including brownies, cookies, cotton candy, chocolates and soft drinks. There is also a private character greeting before boarding the boats.  I would recommend scheduling your meal at Chef Mickey's to start no later than 7pm.  This way, you should be finished by 8:30 and downstairs in time for your party and voyage.

Once on board, your journey is lead by your own, very talented, pirate.  Patch, our pirate, was hysterical, and had the entire boat in stitches.  He played trivia games with the guests, and handed out prizes to the kids on board.  The event culminates with Wishes.

After the fireworks, your pirate will play a few more games as you head back to the Contemporary for a final surprise at the dock!  One of the best parts of the evening is that you don't have to brave the mass exodus of guests from the Magic Kingdom after the fireworks!

    Have a magical Disney vacation!
