How do blockout dates work? If I have a 2 day pass to the parks can I attend any day before the expiration date?

    Hello Vivian!

We’re so glad you came back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you found my information to your last question useful!

If I close my eyes and think, I can see the sights, the sounds, the lights and all of the magic that is the Disneyland Resort. I can’t wait for my next visit and like you, I am already planning my next trip! Sometimes tickets have blockout dates and most Annual Passports have blockout dates that can vary from theme park and pass type. When a ticket or Annual Passport has a date that is blocked out, the ticket or Annual Passport is not valid for entry on that particular day. A separate ticket would need to be purchased to gain entry into one or both of the parks.

It looks like you have purchased a 2-Day Ticket for the parks. Typically these tickets do not have a blockout day and are valid any day until the expiration date. You must use the second day within 13 days of first use or before the expiration date, whichever occurs first. I would check your ticket for the expiration date and also to make sure there are no blockout dates. Sometimes tickets purchased from third party vendors may include blockout days. If you are not able to use your ticket before it expires, you will get the value for what you paid and be able to apply that to a new ticket and just pay the difference if there has been an increase.

Well Vivian, if you have any more questions answered to help you plan your magical vacation you know where to find us.

Remember, always believe in the magic!
