Welcome to planDisney, Melvin!
The Disney Water Parks and Sports Option is a great add-on to your Walt Disney World annual pass. Instead of taking in the sights and sounds of Main Street, U.S.A., why not slide down Summit Plummet at Disney’s Blizzard Beach or catch a wave at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon? And of course, you can always try your hand at mini golf with this add-on, too. My family is always up for a round on our days off from the theme parks.
Your annual pass’s blockout dates for the theme parks do not apply to the
Disney Water Parks and other Water Parks and Sports Option activities. Woohoo! Be sure to check out the limitations for some of these experiences though. Your one free round of mini golf, for example, must be played before the clock strikes 4 p.m.
The only times that you’ll find that a Disney Water Park is not available to you are if 1) the Central Florida weather creates unsafe conditions, 2) it’s at capacity, or 3) it is closed for its seasonal refurbishment. Usually one Disney Water Park operates at any given time. For example, at the moment, only Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is open. But as soon as that closes, Disney’s Blizzard Beach will most likely open. So, you’ll have year round fun!
AN EXTRA GEM: Keep in mind that when you add an option like unlimited
Disney PhotoPass downloads or the Water Parks and Sports Option, they expire at the same time as your annual pass. The earlier you can add it to your annual pass, the better the value.
I hope that this helps! Melvin, if you have any other questions about how to maximize your annual pass,
reach out to us here at planDisney. Magic always,
LeAndra
