    When will Blizzard Beach reopen?

Hey there, Michael! Welcome back to planDisney!

Thanks for sharing your brrrr-iilliant Blizzard Beach question with us. I had the opportunity to visit Blizzard Beach on my last visit to Walt Disney World and had an amazing time. Floating around Cross Country Creek after a long day of travel was a great way to kick off our vacation. So let’s dive in!

In recent years, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon operated on alternating schedules. One water park would be open, the other would close for refurbishment, and then they’d switch after a few months. Things changed this year, though, when both water parks were open for the summer months (the first time since 2019), which makes it difficult to predict their future schedules based on past trends.

There hasn’t been a public announcement about the water parks’ new schedule going forward, but in past years, it was common for them to swap operations in the late fall and again in the spring. It’s unknown if this will be the case for the remainder of 2025 and into 2026, but I’d suggest keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates.

I wish I had more concrete information to share at this time, Michael, but I hope this helps with your vacation planning. Remember,  Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests get free water park admission on their check-in day in 2025, and it's been announced that this perk will return in summer 2026.

Don’t hesitate to swim right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
