Will Blizzard Beach be open Nov 2025?

Hey there, Courtney! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for sharing your wonderful water park question.

I love that you’re planning ahead for your fall Walt Disney World vacation, and you’ll be visiting at such a fun time! As the theme parks and resort hotels make their switch from Halloween to the winter holidays, there will be so many magical things to see and do at Walt Disney World Resort.

In recent years, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have taken turns being open, with one welcoming guests while the other was closed for refurbishment. That all recently changed though, and it was announced that both water parks will be open at the same time beginning May 21, 2025. This hasn’t happened since 2019 and it’s great news for guests in search of aquatic adventures.

An end date for this arrangement hasn’t been shared yet, so it’s difficult to predict which water park will be open later this fall. Perhaps they will go back to a rotation or maybe this will be the new normal. We’ll have to wait and see! I’d suggest checking the Disney Parks Blog regularly for news and updates, as well keeping an eye on the Hours and Events Calendar as the year progresses.

I just got back from a trip to Walt Disney World and we took advantage of the complimentary water park admission available to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests on their check-in day. I’ve got to say, a leisurely float down Cross Country Creek was exactly what I needed after a long morning in multiple airports.

Best of luck with your vacation planning, Courtney. Hopefully an announcement will be made soon and you can finalize your vacation itinerary, but in the meantime, you can always bring your questions to planDisney. Whatever you're wondering, we're here to help!

    Magical travels!
