Magical greetings Jennifer,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.
Water parks are a great way to escape the Florida heat without losing out on any fun!
Disney’s Blizzard Beach and
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon are the two water parks at
Walt Disney World Resort, but Disney’s Blizzard Beach has unfortunately been closed since March 17, 2024. There has been no reopening date announcement, so if you plan on visiting Walt Disney World Resort this summer, I recommend purchasing tickets for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon! As for a reopening date, I recommend you follow the
Disney Parks Blog, as they will be the first to report about the reopening of this water park.
If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can experience the resort hotel’s pools available to Guests! I recently stayed at
Disney's Beach Club Resort and spent an entire afternoon swimming in
Stormalong Bay (also available to Guests staying at
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort) and relaxing in one of the
cabanas. If you are a Guest at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you can enjoy both the
Lava and Oasis pools. There are several other pools available, so be sure to review the recreation section of your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel and see which pool you can enjoy during your visit!
Just keep swimming!
Tiffany
