    Does Blizzard Beach close down for winter season?

    Hi Josh!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for sending us your fantastic question about Walt Disney World Resort water parks! I am so happy to help a fellow Floridian today.

    Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park does not close for the winter season. Each of Walt Disney World Resort’s water parks is refurbished annually. These routine maintenance periods are staggered so that our very special Guests, such as yourself, can enjoy at least one water park experience year-round.

    In 2016, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will be closed for maintenance 10/23/2016- 12/24/2016. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed for maintenance 12/25/2016- 3/11/2017.
