Is there a blender in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness? If I bring my dogs can I choose not to have housekeeping during our stay? I plan on cleaning myself.

Hi Sommer! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

A stay in The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort sounds dreamy! I love how rustic and private they feel, yet they are still right next door to all of the "magic" that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. It really is the best of both worlds!

I checked with a few Cast Members and was told by all of them that there are not blenders in The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You will find a lot of other amenities in the cabins, however, like a toaster, convection microwave oven, coffee maker, and two counter-top burners.

When my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Veronica, enjoyed a stay in a cabin last month, she found that she could opt to decline housekeeping during her stay as part of the Service Your Way Program. With the program, you can decline housekeeping for every night of your stay except for the last night. In exchange, you can receive a Disney gift card and the amount depends on how many nights you are declining. For example, if the credit is $10 per night and you are staying for 6-nights total, you can decline 5-nights and receive a $50.00 Disney gift card. These amounts and offerings are always subject to change, so I suggest asking a Cast Member about the Service Your Way Program upon arrival.

I hope your family, including your fur-babies, have a wonderful trip, Sommer! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
