What are the blackout dates for Florida residentannual passholders?

    Hi Caryol,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy to help a fellow Floridian with your question about Florida resident annual passes.

The blockout dates for annual passes vary, based on which level of pass you hold. There are three annual passes that are available only to Florida residents and certain Disney Vacation Club members: the Pixie Dust, Pirate and Sorcerer. (The Incredi-Pass is available to all guests and is valid every day during the year.)

The Pixie Dust pass, the least expensive, is valid only on weekdays. It is blocked out on all weekends and during the week in certain peak and holiday periods.

The Pirate Pass has blockout dates on select holiday weekends and during some peak and holiday weeks. The Sorcerer Pass has only a few blockout dates around Thanksgiving and during the weeks of Christmas and New Year's.

You can find all the details on the Annual Passholder Admission Calendar here.

Regardless of which pass you choose, you receive the same host of benefits, including discounts on dining, resorts, merchandise and experiences; free standard parking at the theme parks; special perks and more. The main difference between the passes is the blockout dates.

My family members have been annual passholders for almost 30 years. Over the decades, we've chosen different levels of passes, based on how much flexibility we've had for our visits. For the past few years, we've found that the Sorcerer Pass, with fewer than 20 blockout dates a year, is best for us.

If you are considering a Florida resident annual pass for the first time, Caryol, remember that you can spread the cost of the pass over 12 months, interest-free, after an initial deposit. It's a fabulous additional perk available only to Floridians.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Caryol. Please let us know if you have additional questions about the passholder program or planning your visits to Walt Disney World over the next year.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
