Did I bit off more than I can chew? BOG Dinner reservations for 5 at 6:55pm and booked and paid for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise same night, begins about 8:45pm at the Contemporary. Will that be enough time? :(

Hello Arlene! Wow, dinner reservations at Be Our Guest and the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise? That sounds like a perfect night at Walt Disney World to me! I think that since the times are so close you will want to be conscious about eating in a timely manner. My suggestion would be to eat an entree at Be Our Guest, but do not eat dessert. Why? Simply because at the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Cruise there will be lots of snacks and desserts so you'll want to save some room and it'll shave off a little time.

Depending on where I am dining, and if it is a Character Dining Experience I usually plan for at least an hour and a half dining time. I think that to make it to Disney's Contemporary Resort in time for sign-in, you should plan on leaving Be Our Guest Restaurant no later than 8:15 P.M. This will allow you a half an hour to either walk, hop the Monorail, or take a water taxi to the Contemporary Resort. A half an hour should be plenty of time to travel to the Contemporary Resort from Be Our Guest Restaurant. That gives you a little over an hour to be seated and to eat, so here are some suggestions that might help:

*Arrive early to your dining reservation. If you arrive early they might seat you earlier which would give you a little extra time.

*Tell your server that you are on a time constraint. Any time I have done this, the servers and Cast Members have been so great about getting us in and out while still providing a great dining experience.

*Know exactly how you want to travel. Walking is probably the fastest way to get from The Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary Resort, but I know how tired feet can get after a day at the parks. Choose a travel method and figure out exactly where you need to go beforehand.

*You can always call to see if an earlier reservation is open for Be Our Guest Restaurant. Reservations go fast, but it never hurts to call and ask.

    Have a magical vacation!
