hello , i am a bit nervous about the transportation at night , i am staying at the all star movie resort and i have a reservation for chef mickey at 9.25pm , will there still be a bus to take me back to my hotel? Thank-you

Hi Iara! Congratulations on snagging a Chef Mickey dinner reservation. This is my favorite character dining option on property as you will have a chance to meet and greet all the fabulous famous Disney characters and most important, Mickey Mouse!

Transportation between resorts in general is not difficult but it can take extra time. The bus transportation from the parks will run for about an hour to an hour and a half after park closing. If the Magic Kingdom hours for that evening are late enough you can simply walk over to park bus area from the Contemporary and catch the All Star Movie bus back to the resort. You can also take the monorail around and get off at the park to walk to the bus area.  If the park closes earlier that evening then simply head down to the Contemporary bus area and catch the Downtown Disney bus. Once you arrive there you will then just transfer to the All Star Movie bus. There will be signs showing you where to wait for your resort. And hopefully it will be sitting there waiting for you and you can get right on. Of course that never happens with our family. Usually we are watching the tail lights of the bus leaving us and we sit for another 20 minutes for the next one! We are not lucky when it comes to transportation!

You can always ask the Bell Staff at the Contemporary to call you a taxi for your return. Sometimes it is worth the $20 to get back as quickly as possible especially if the children are tired and needing to head to bed. But no worries, there are always ways to get from one place to the next when on Disney property!
